Fiber Connectors

A connector for end-to-end connection between hollow-core optical fibers and solid-core optical fibers, allowing direct fusion splicing into links containing standard solid-core fiber segments. The solid-core fiber end of the connector utilizes thermally expanded core fiber to increase the mode field diameter of the solid-core fiber, thereby reducing losses resulting from mode field mismatch between the hollow-core and standard solid-core fibers. It features low insertion loss, repeatable plug-and-play capability, high return loss, inflatable properties, and the ability to create sealed ends for the connector on-site during installation. The solid-core fiber pigtail can be processed into any standard jumper connector according to customer requirements.
